About

My name is Mat Greenfield. I am a British student from Horsham and currently studying Applied Computer Science at the University of Reading. I am extraordinarily interested in technology, gadgetry, web culture and literature, which are an example of the main things I will talk about in this blog. Though I very often discuss other matters depending on what interests me at the time and what topics have been bought up recently by the media or stupid things that the government will inevitably do, particularly when it relates to technology.

But do not fear, loyal reader, though I am very intelligent, charasmatic, witty and imaginative, I understand fully that many of my readers are not on my level. Thus I explain things fully to ensure that all peoples who wish to follow my technological insights can read this blog and understand what the bloody nora is going on! That is not to say I ‘dumb-down’ the blog and (fighting my nature) I do my best not to be patronising towards my readers as far as possible where terminology and technical knowledge is concerned, I don’t (for example) need to explain each time what a keyboard or an iPod is, but at the same time not all my readers will know what a dynamic IP address is, or the history of Apple’s use of the accelerometer in their devices.

Enjoy!
